Almost 18 years ago, life changed in an instant when Steven Sauder sustained a head injury after a car collision. Although there have been many difficulties, God's grace has been clearly evident. The past few years, Steven continued to decline, yet God gave him the strength to "never give up". On May 9, 2011, he reached the end of his journey.

Steven slept 13 continuous hours yesterday afternoon and night. It's now 11:00pm, and he's been sleeping since 2:00pm. Last night I counted 25 seconds between some of his breathing. I questioned going to bed myself at all, but then remembered that someone had commented that I did not need to be beside him constantly - God has his bed surrounded by angels to help him through this tough time.     We are holding you up in prayer Vicki! It has been a long battle and we KNOW that Steve is looking forward to that journey Home. We just attended the funeral this morning of Steve Gerst who was in an accident Easter weekend and was recovering but God had other plans for him. I know you and Steven know him. We are praying for strength for you and God's nearness as you end this journey with your beloved husband. You have been so faithful. Love you lots! Marcia
